Prior to joining Schorr Associates, David Schorr was a corporate lawyer in New York with one of the city's leading law firms.

He holds a law degree from the New York University School of Law and a master's degree from Oxford University in England, and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.

In the insurance field, he holds CLU and ChFC degrees from the American College.

In the financial planning field, he holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

He also holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

He teaches employee benefits in the Continuing and Professional Studies Program at Baruch College, The City University of New York (CUNY).
